StreamClan cats often value loyalty over family, which means that close family bonds are quite rare for them. They can often be very direct with one another and sometimes a bit aggressive and pushy, especially towards cats who aren't from StreamClan. Hard-work and independence is key in the life of a StreamClan warrior, meaning that warriors will often hunt and fish alone rather than in a close-skit group. Patrols are small due to their over-confidence, often consisting of 2-3 warriors and occasionally a few apprentices. Young cats such as apprentices are often looked over, most StreamClan warriors believe that the young are there to learn, not to intrude on Clan issues with their opinions. This ideology is rather new, it rose when Rosestar became leader and has sprouted across the Clan.
StreamClan cats are an over-confident breed, which means that their courtships are certainly interesting. StreamClan warriors often show their love by braiding flowers into their fur, most commonly used are water-lilies and tulips. StreamClan cats will continue to braid flowers into their loved ones fur until they are confident enough to tell them outright. Braided flowers are a sacred possession and are often woven into nests.
StreamClan cats are exceptional swimmers, with strong webbed paws and thick fur that protects from the cold water. Their camp rests on an island surrounded by a fast moving river, mostly so they can boast about how hard their camp is to get to. The island is larger than most, with enough room for kits to run around and meetings to be held. Nearest the back of the island is a small waterfall where the leader addresses the clan and makes a den. The waterfall has one huge rock that leaders adress the Clan from, along with a small nook behind the cascading waves of water where StreamClan leaders make their den. Small stepping stones lead to the small cave.
The warriors and apprentices den are located closest to the island's entrance, adding a layer of protection and security to their island home. The dens are woven from many layers of thick reeds with a soft moss bedding, meaning that the dens float when a flood occurs. The elders den is located behind the apprentices, also woven from reeds. This den is pushed against the mud walls that have been built up to protect the clan from floods. The medicine den is located on the far right of the island, where a pathway leads to a large den made of reeds. The den is situated close to the water's edge to allow StreamClan medicine cats to grow herbs and allow them to flourish. This den has the thickest defense of reeds, making the den almost invincible to floods.
Lastly, the queens den sits on the highest end of the island. This is to protect queens and kits from heavy floods. This den is weighed down by heavy rocks and strong mud walls that keep the kits and queens safe from extreme flooding.
